There's a new set of wheels rolling into Dodge dealerships in early 2008 -- the 2009 Journey.
Based on the popular Dodge Avenger, the Journey crossover mixes the utility of a minivan or SUV with the drivability of a car.
Some of those features include a storage bin located under the front passenger seat. Lift the cushion to reveal a space for small objects.
There are two more in-floor storage bins right behind the back seat that are large enough to hold 12 12-ounce soda cans, plus ice.
For rear-seat passengers, the rear doors open to a full 90 degrees, making it easier to get in and out. Speaking of the rear seats, they're elevated slightly (theater-style) so folks in the back can get a better view of the outside world. A third seat in the back is optional, and makes the Journey a seven-passenger vehicle.
The starting price for the base-model Journey is $19,985, which includes the destination charge.
