The northbound lanes of the Turnpike were blocked because of the crash, which occurred around 8:20 a.m.  About an hour later, traffic was flowing smoothly in the area.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Subaru traveling 60 mph crashed into the rear of a van, which then rear-ended a BMW.

The driver of the Subaru was removed from the vehicle after the roof was removed by rescue personnel, the FHP said.

Each vehicle contained one person, all of whom were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.

No other details were released.
