Emmy Award-winning anchor Bridgett Ellison joined the Local 6 team in September 2010 and can be seen weekdays on The Morning News from 5 to 7 a.m. and Local 6 News at Noon.

Her passion for getting to the bottom of an issue and helping others makes her a valuable journalist, giving viewers her very best each and every day.

Prior to her arrival in the Sunshine State, Bridgett worked as a main anchor/reporter for the NBC station in Augusta, Ga. Before moving to main anchor, Bridgett also served as morning anchor in Augusta. Her unstoppable efforts got her noticed fast! During her five years in Georgia, she was honored by the Georgia Associated Press with awards for "Best Documentary" and "Best Anchor/Reporter."

The South Carolina native, started her career at the ABC station in New Bern, N.C., and also worked for the CBS station in Columbia, S.C.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She also enjoys working out, volunteering with her church and traveling. She's always hunting down the best bargains at stores and seeking out tasty, "little gems" of restaurants!

Bridgett takes full advantage of the Florida sun, by playing golf and dabbling in photography.
