Big rig catches fire, spills fuel on Orange Blossom Trail
Hazmat team called to scene, Orlando fire officials say
A tractor-trailer caught fire in Orlando, spilling a large amount of fuel and prompting a hazmat situation.
The Thermo King tractor-trailer ignited around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on Orange Blossom Trail near 26th Street.
The truck holds 125 gallons of fuel.
No one was injured, and officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
"Then I saw flames and I was looking for a place to pull over but there was no place for a big truck so I had to stop it there and bail out," said Andre Fleming, the driver of the truck.
One lane of OBT was open in the area, and cleanup was expected to take a couple of hours, fire officials said.
