ROCKLEDGE, Fla. -

A man found hiding in a wooded area was arrested on suspicion of killing a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Brevard County, police said.

David Prestano, 29, was arrested early Friday on multiple charges and was being held on no bond.

According to Rockledge police, an officer observed a red Honda two-door traveling south on Murrell Road at 95 mph in a 40 mph zone.  Police said the car, driven by Prestano, then struck a motorcycle from behind, killing the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released.

Prestano ran away but was arrested after he was found hiding in a wooded area nearby, according to police.

Rockledge police said a check of Prestano's New York driver's license showed that his license was suspended because of multiple convictions for driving while impaired in Suffolk County, N.Y.

Prestanto was taken to the Brevard County Detention Center in Sharpes.
