Kristin Giannas joined the Local 6 team in July 2012, but her love of journalism began in Bellerose, New York, when she was a teenager.

Her passion brought her to the University of Florida, where she received a degree in Telecommunications and News Broadcasting and a certificate in Climatology and Meteorology.

After graduation, Kristin became a reporter at WCJB-TV 20 in Gainesville, where she learned the importance of giving people a voice.  She’s excited to be in Central Florida so she can do the same here.
