Officials have reopened the Florida Turnpike in Lake County after a brush fire caused visibility issues.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Wednesday afternoon that the Turnpike was closed in both directions from State Road 50 to U.S. Highway 27, a 15-mile stretch. Southbound lanes reopened around 1:30 p.m., and northbound lanes were reopened about 50 minutes later.
The cause and size of the fire were not immediately known.
