NCAA Game Summary - Hartford At Wisconsin-Green Bay

Green Bay, WI -- Josh Lawrence, Javier Mendiburu and Benito Flores scored 11 points apiece as the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix defeated the Hartford Hawks, 68-60, in the title game of the Oneida Classic at the Resch Center. Matt Rohde chipped in 10 points as the Phoenix (7-3) won their second game in a row. Hartford (3-6) was led by Aaron Cook who finished with 19 points. David Ruffin tallied 13 points as the Hawks lost for the third time in their last four outings. Wisconsin-Green Bay held a 23-13 advantage over the Hawks with 7:40 left to play in the first half and it took a 40-29 lead into the intermission. The Phoenix shot just 26.3 percent from the floor in the second half and they where outscored by Hartford 31-28 in the frame. The Hawks effort was not enough as Wisconsin-Green Bay hung on for the eight-point victory. Wisconsin-Green Bay shot 34.9 percent from the field in the contest while the Hawks shot 39 percent. The Phoenix improved to 5-0 at home this season while Hartford remained winless on the road in four outings.
