Driver runs away after crashing into Deltona home
Woman, toddler inside house uninjured
A car crashed into a Deltona house early Monday and the driver ran from the scene, but a woman and toddler inside the home were not injured.
The wreck happened around 5:45 a.m. at a home near Fort Smith Boulevard and Oasis Avenue.
The woman said she was in the kitchen and her child was in another room when the white two-door sedan rammed through her front door.
The woman's vehicle, which was parked in her carport, was also damaged in the crash.
A building inspector will assess the damage to the home and determine if it's structurally sound.
No other details, including information about the driver, were released.
