GROVELAND, Fla. -- A 22-year-old woman claiming to be an Osceola County school teacher is accused of flooding a holding cell after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Groveland police.
Shannon Timme was arrested Sunday at about 1 a.m. on charges of DUI, resisting without violence and refusing to sign a citation.
According to a police report, Timme listed her occupation as an Osceola County school teacher. The school district, however, told Local 6 News that she worked as an intern at Cypress Elementary School in Kissimmee in the spring but is not currently employed by the county.
According to Groveland police, an officer spotted a yellow Mustang with a tag light out near state Roads 50 and 33. The officer stopped the vehicle and smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, identified as Timme, who had red and glassy eyes, police said.
Timme failed a road sobriety test and was arrested and taken to the Groveland Police Department, police said.
According to police, Timme acted aggressively toward officers and was put in a holding cell, where she threw a bed mattress and ripped a water line to a sink, causing the area to flood.
It took three officers about two hours to clean the area, police said.
Timme later bonded out of the Lake County Jail.
