MELBOURNE, Fla. -- A 13-year-old boy was arrested Thursday on allegations of shooting a window of a Melbourne school bus that was carrying 10 students, police said.
Marquise Antonio Culbreath faces 11 felony counts of firing into an occupied vehicle. Police said he shot the bus with a BB gun. Charges are pending against another juvenile who fired at the school bus with an Airsoft gun.
According to Melbourne police, the bus driver called authorities at about 4:30 p.m. after realizing that the window had been pierced by gunfire while he was driving the vehicle in the 4300 block of Eleanor Drive.
A student was sitting in the seat adjacent to the window that was struck, but no one was injured in the incident, Melbourne police said.
Brevard County School authorities, along with Principal Richard Fish of Johnson Middle School, were notified of the incident.
