ORLANDO, Fla. -- A new high-tech spy adventure debuts at Epcot World Showcase on Wednesday, featuring a popular Disney animated series that stars a high school secret agent who saves the world.
Disney's "Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure," an interactive experience, teams guests with "Team Possible" in an effort to save the world from villains and their mad inventions.
Kim Possible is the star of a Disney TV animated series. She leads a double life as a high school cheerleader and a secret agent who saves the world from villains.
Local 6 News reporter Mike Holfeld got a sneek-peak of the adventure.
"Remember, you are a top secret agent that has to be prepared for anything," said a Disney Imagineer named Jeanette, who joined Holfeld on his mission to "Germany" as they set out to find clues and unravel their secret mission.
As part of the experience, clues have been set up for agents around seven of the Showcase pavilions, which include Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, France and the United Kingdom.
Agents of all ages are recruited at various Kim Possible stations and given assignments and clues with the help of a cell phone and Disney animation stars Wade and Kim Possible.
"Wade here, welcome to Team Possible. I'm contacting Kim," a message from Wade said.
Holfeld said even those not familiar with the cartoon will get hooked on the adventure.
"It's very different than our normal experience where our guests go to a destination. Here, they go to a discovery," said Jim Macphee, vice president of Epcot.
"It is a lot of fun. I think the interaction is fun. I like how it points out things in the park you probably would never even notice unless you were playing the game," said Andrew Schumate, of Virginia.
Disney said it expects thousands to participate in the adventure, which begins Wednesday.
