ORLANDO, Fla. -- Thousands of people gathered outside the Amway Arena in downtown Orlando Thursday morning for "American Idol" auditions. Rainy weather did not keep season 9 hopefuls away as they waited on their chance to sing in front of "American Idol" judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi.While waiting in line, a few hopefuls belted out their best for Local 6.Season 1 "American Idol" runner-up Justin Guarini was at the arena interviewing potential contestants.Registration for the auditions was held earlier this week.
