Friday, June 3: Florida Collegiate Summer League Opening Day Tailgate Party at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium, 1201 S Mellonville Ave, Sanford. 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. Live music, games for adults and kids and $1 Yuengling. Season-opener game after as Sanford River Rats take on the Leesburg Lightning. Tickets $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, kids under 6 years old are free. More info.

Friday, June 3: June Movie Night at Harry P. Leu Gardens, 1920 N Forest Ave, Orlando. Gardens open at 6 p.m., movie time at 8:30 p.m. Garden Admission: $6 for adult, $3 for child. "The Intern" showing. Alcohol permitted. Bring blankets or chairs and dinner picnic basket. More info.

Friday, June 2 to Saturday, June 4: Historic Cocoa Village's 6th Annual BBQ & Blues at Riverfront Park 430 Delannoy Ave, Cocoa. This event is a World Food Championship BBQ Qualifier as well as an American Royal Invitational, Sonny’s Smokin’ Showdown Invitational and Jack Daniel's World Championship qualifier. Saturday, June 4 to Sunday, June 5: DeLand Watermelon Festival at Volusia County Fair Grounds,  3100 E. New York Ave, DeLand. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Family fun, festivities, watermelons, food, watermelon speed eating contest, grilled watermelon, free bounce houses, obstacle course, art and crafts, whole watermelons, photo op inside, watermelon seed spitting contest, live entertainment, classic car show, watermelon wine slush mixes, free petting zoo, cutest baby contest, train ride, pony rides and more. $6 for adults & kids 3 & up. More info.

Saturday, June 4: Chuy's Pet Event at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming at 918 Orange Ave., Winter Park. 11 a.m. to  3 p.m. Chuy’s Tex-Mex will photograph local dogs and frame them as part of the restaurant’s décor at its newest location in Winter Park. The dogs’ framed photos will be featured in the new restaurant’s famous ‘La Chihuahua Bar. 'Participating pups’ parents are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $5 to support Orange County Animal Services. Attendees will receive a coupon for a free appetizer and koozie. Dogs get homemade treats from Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. More info.

Saturday, June 4 to Sunday, June 5: West End Trading Company's 10th Annual Hurricane Party, 202 S Sanford Ave., Sanford. 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. This street party will have six stages and more than 50 acts. Main stage outside on 2nd St, 2 stages inside West End Trading Co., acoustic stage at Celery City Craft, OrlandoBands.com stage inside Rabbitfoot Record Store Cafe, and a remote stage at Little Fish Huge Pond.
