J. Lo blocked Grammys crasher
Quick reflexes saved Adele speech from being interrupted
Jennifer Lopez's quick reflexes saved Adele's Grammys acceptance speech from being interrupted by a stage-crasher.
J.Lo, who flirted with CBS' wardrobe rules in a gown that nearly skimmed her bikini line on one side, presented the pop solo performance category along with Pitbull.
As CBS cameras pulled back to show Adele climbing the stage to accept her award, viewers at home saw a mystery man standing on stage, clapping along with the crowd.
Lopez was visibly confused by his presence and quickly blocked him from getting closer to the just-announced award winner by gesturing that he make an exit.
The apparently enthusiastic fan has reportedly been identified as Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian TV personality. He's said to already be famous for trying to kiss Will Smith at a movie premiere and subsequently getting slapped.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sediuk nearly accepted Adele's Grammy for her before making a hasty exit from the stage.
Sediuk, 24, told THR that he entered the Grammys without any tickets, and then found a seat in the second row behind Justin Timberlake. He explained to the magazine's website that his media outlet didn't get credentialed, so he went with friends who had access and slipped in.
The idea to rush the stage, Sediuk added, wasn't pre-planned. "Adele is my favorite singer," he told THR. "So when I heard her name, I came up with this idea to go up on the stage and say what I said. ... I pretended this was an award for me, and then I said, 'Thank you, Adele. You're my inspiration.'"
