From CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight
Diagnosed with MS
--LEAD IN --
Jack Osbourne, son of rock star, Ozzy Osbourne, has recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
It's an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
Osbourne spoke exclusively to CNN's Piers Morgan about his diagnosis and how he's trying to overcome the disease.
Piers: "When you hear those words, what do you think?"
"I got a little emotional because at that point you don't know. You don't know. Unless you have multiple sclerosis or someone you are related to or close to has multiple sclerosis, you really don't know what it actually is because it's so strange in how the disease manifests itself. It's very different with everyone. I got scared. I instantly thought I was going to end up in a wheelchair. you start thinking about Richard Pryor and things like that. Like, oh, I just got a death sentence, this is great. but through educating myself and speaking with doctors, you realize it's actually -- it's not as bad in some capacities as people would think."
Osbourne says some of his symptoms so far have been bladder and bowel issues, and that his legs went numb for two months.
