Jennifer Lawrence isn't the sort of actress who has a hard time stepping out of character once she's finished wrapping a project.

"No, I'm not method at all," Lawrence told us of her post-"Catching Fire" experience at the Monday premiere of her new movie, "Silver Linings Playbook." "As soon as they call 'cut,' I'm thinking about food and moving on."

Her entry into "Silver Linings Playbook" wasn't as smooth, however, as the 22-year-old actress told us that she was initially "overwhelmed" to work with director David O. Russell.

"I'm the biggest fan and love everything that he does," she said. "I was overwhelmed with the entire thing. And then the cast ... Bradley [Cooper], and [Robert] De Niro, and Jacki Weaver - the whole thing was amazing!"

Lawrence stars as Tiffany in the critically praised film, serving as the similarly disturbed friend to Cooper's Pat, who at the start of the film has just exited a mental institution. The subject matter may be on the dark side, but Russell balanced it with plenty of laughs, as evidenced by the trailer alone.

"I tried to be like a sponge and just soak up everything," Lawrence said. "Bradley is one of the best actors I've ever worked with and, obviously, I was with De Niro and there was just so much to learn."

Funnily enough, Cooper almost didn't sign on to the project, had it not been for their co-star De Niro.

"David [O. Russell] and I had met about another project," Cooper told us at the premiere. "When this role became available, he called me. I already read it, but I didn't think I was right for it. I was scared, and then Robet De Niro was already attached and he championed for me to get it. And so I owe a lot of it to Robert De Niro, and that's how it happened."
