Fort East Martello

Construction started in 1862 on this Fort to help protect Key West but was never finished. In 1950, the Key West Art and Historical Society cleaned up years of debris and dust and turned it into a museum. Take a look at some of the items inside this old museum, including the infamous, "Robert, the Doll." Legend says that if you take Robert's picture without asking permission, bad luck will follow you home. We asked, he was okay with it, so you're safe to take a look.
