Stores are packed with shoppers taking advantage of tax-free weekend

No tax on school supplies and clothes under $75 dollars

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida's Tax Free Weekend for 2012 is back.
If you are looking for a way to save a little money while back to school shopping, then the tax break can help you out.

From now till midnight on August 5 the Florida Department of Revenue is offering a three day, tax-free shopping spree on selected articles of clothing, wallets, backpacks and school supplies.

Clothing and related items with a sales price of $75 or less each will be tax free.

School supplies with a sales price of $15 or less each will also be tax free. Books are not exempt from tax during the sales tax holiday.     

Many stores are including in-store sales as incentives for shoppers.     

However, theme parks, hotels and airports are not participating in the tax free weekend.
