Dog brought to say goodbye to dying owner

When the family of a dying man came to say their last goodbyes, they made sure all his loved ones were there, even the four-legged variety.

Ryan Jessen, 33, suffered a brain hemorrhage last month after what he thought was a simple migraine.

As Jessen laid in a coma inside the hospital, doctors let the family know he would not recover.

Rideout Memorial Hospital did the sweetest thing for us and allowed us to bring my brother's dog in to "say goodbye" so she'd know why her human never came home. If you knew my brother, he really loved his sweet dog. (So many people have asked - He thought he had a migraine, but it was a ventricular brain hemorrhage. They think it was brought on by high blood pressure, and there's speculation that his frequent consumption of energy drinks may have contributed. THANK YOU to everybody for the outpouring of support, but I won't be responding anymore. We are sincerely touched and humbled by others' stories, their sharing in our sadness and the kindness of so many people. Don't worry about the dog! We're keeping her!!! She's part of the family.)

On Nov. 30, when the family arrived to say goodbye, they brought along Jessen's dog Mollie.

Jessen's sister, Michelle, wrote on Facebook that Mollie, a boxer, should know why her owner had never come home.

The family recorded the heartbreaking goodbye as Mollie climbs aboard Jessen's chest and sniffs his body.

Jessen died, but Michelle posted that his organs were donated and that a 17-year-old boy would receive her brother's heart.

The touching video has already been viewed over 12,000,000 times.

As for Mollie, Jessen's sister said not to worry as she's a part of the family and would be staying with them.

Ryan Jessen, R.I.P my brother... you will be missed greatly and never forgotten.
