Window-washing elves surprise Nemours Children's Hospital patients

Cleaning service workers bring holiday cheer to Nemours

ORLANDO, Fla. – Some elves appeared in an unlikely way Wednesday at Nemours Children's Hospital. Workers from A1 Orange Cleaning in Orlando dressed as Santa's helpers and washed windows.

"All the doctors were talking about seeing elves in the windows, so I was like, 'Mom, I wanna see elves on the windows,'" said 9-year old patient, Hunter Lanktree.

Tim Couture has worked for the cleaning service for about six years. He tells Local 6 cleaning in a smock and hat is a first.

"Everybody is great and so happy to see us. I've seen nothing but smiles and laughter. It's great," Couture said.

Patient Sydni Hornick and her father were pleasantly surprised to see the elves while waiting for an appointment.

"I wasn't expecting the window washers to be wearing elf costumes," Hornick said. "It's really cute!"

A1 Orange Cleaning will be back at Nemours every day this week, dressed in different holiday-themed costumes.
