ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A good Samaritan in Orange County led police to a man accused of robbing a bank inside a grocery store and then sitting down at a restaurant in the same shopping center to have a beer, as if nothing happened, according to investigators.

Officers said the man, who police identified as James Taylor, walked into a Bank of America inside a Publix store located on South Chickasaw Trail Monday night and passed a newspaper with a gun and a note inside.

Aldolfo Flores was standing in line and noticed what was going on, according to the report.

"I was standing behind and noticed (the culprit) opening a newspaper and the girls' eyes opened up and I said, 'Something was not right.'" Flores said. "And I stepped around the corner and asked her, 'Did he just rob you?' And she said, 'Yes.'"

Flores said he watched Taylor change his shirt and drive to a restaurant across the parking lot.

"He actually pulled into Giovanni's and parked and put another shirt on, buttoned up and walked into Giovanni's and had a beer, like nothing ever happened," Flores said.

"If you are a responding officer, is that what you would expect to see from a robbery suspect?" Orange County sheriff's Cmdr. Jeff Stonebreaker said.

Taylor was taken into custody a short time later.

"I'm thoroughly convinced that if this person would not have called, the guy would have been sitting there having a beer, laughing and watching the cops show up and not find him," a witness said.

Taylor faces several charges in connection with the incident.
