What does your city taste like? That's what Ben & Jerry's wants to know.
USA Today reports the ice cream maker is working on a new limited-edition ice cream flavor.
The program is called "City Churned" and will create original flavors for New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C. and Portland, Oregon.
The ingredients will be determined by citizens' votes online as well as transportation votes. What happens is, different assets are assigned ingredients. For instance, in New York, hybrid cabs heading uptown will count as Peppermint votes, and downtown cabs will count as Fairtrade Vanilla votes.
Ben & Jerry's will keep track of and tabulate all those results, coupled with online votes, to decide which ingredients make it into the flavors.
Voting continues through mid-July.
Once voting is complete, the brand's Scoop Truck will offer the special flavor in the corresponding city for one day only.
