BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. -- A student in Brevard County has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, Local 6 confirmed Monday.The student with bacterial meningitis is an unidentified female student at Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School.The principal at the school met with teachers Monday and the school faculty will meet with the health department Tuesday.A meeting concerning the student will also be held Tuesday night.Symptoms of bacterial meningitis are high fever, headaches and a stiff neck.After several hours, nausea and confusion develops.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
