District provides free meals for students on summer break

Children must meet income guidelines for reduced meals

ORLANDO, Fla. – Summer is right around the corner, and district leaders want to make sure students can eat healthy while school is out.

Orange County Public Schools' Food and Nutrition Services Department released information Wednesday about how students can qualify for free summer meals.

The program extends to students who are not attending community camps and summer school if they meet certain income guidelines.

According to the release, more than 200 sites will be offering free food to children in communities across Orange County.
