According to the Centers for Disease Control, the most common reason children under the age of 15 went to the emergency room was for a fever.
The next most popular ailment was coughing, followed by vomiting.
Young boys go to the ER for injuries to the face, neck or head more often than girls, while girls go more often for ear aches than boys.
