ORLANDO, Fla. -- A 38-year-old Orlando man was charged with aggravated child abuse Friday after he allegedly duct-taped his adopted 10-year-old son's arms and legs, hit him in the face and then left the child on a bed, according to Local 6 News.

Tyson Schrodangen reportedly confessed to taping the boy as a form of discipline at his home in Orlando.
Detective Jonathan O'Hern told Local 6 News that the boy had gotten into some trouble at school and was told he could not have dinner as a punishment.
However, the child "got hungry and after he ate something...this incident (duct-taping) occurred," according to an Orlando Police report.
"He (Schrodangen) used duct tape on his (boy's) mouth by wrapping it all the way around his head to cover the back of his head, the sides and his mouth," the report added.
Police believe Schrodangen then struck the boy while he was taped.
"It (the bruise) went from the middle of the eye socket to pretty much behind the ear," O'Hern said.
Schrodangen reportedly told the child's baby-sitter to remove the glue left from the duct tape. However, the woman instead contacted the principal at Durrane Elementary School. The school contacted police.
Local 6 News reported that Schordangen admitted to taping the boy.
The boy and his sister were taken Friday night into the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
