A new appliance that promises to do a better and faster job of cooking frozen pizza was put to the test by Problem Solver Mark Schumacher.
Schumacher used two identical frozen pizzas to test the Pizzazz Pizza Oven against a regular home oven.
The Pizzazz Pizza Oven heats the frozen pizza from under the plate and from heated coils above the pizza.
Four minutes into heating the pizza, the Pizzazz Pizza was nearly done. However, the regular oven was still preheating to the recommended temperature on the pizza box.
The pizza on the Pizzazz device was ready a short time after the other pizza was placed in the oven. The Pizzazz pizza tasted perfect, Schumacher said.
About 24 minutes after the test began, the pizza in the regular oven was ready to eat. The taste of the oven-cooked pizza was just OK, according to Schumacher.
He recommended the device.
"The Pizzazz is fantastic," Schumacher said. "This thing really hits the mark."
