Experts say the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Florida from June 1 to June 25 was $2.31. That's down 1 cent from the same time last year.

AAA reports that is the lowest price for summer since 2005, when the national average was $2.13 per gallon.

Currently, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.26. In Florida, the average is $2.20 per gallon.

Experts say the lower gas prices are due to a drop in crude oil prices.
