ORLANDO, Fla. -

A man has been arrested on Friday after deputies say he stabbed and killed another man, who he used to be romantically linked to, in an argument.

Authorities said the stabbing occurred at Park Apartments on Park Promenade Drive.

Lawrence Williams, 55, has been charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Gillion Dexter, 42. Deputies said they believe Dexter and Williams were romantically linked and used to live with each other inside the apartment. They were arguing and it escalated into violence, according to deputies.

Both Williams and Dexter were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Friday morning, Dexter died from wounds suffered in the stabbing. Deputies said Dexter was stabbed multiple times.

Williams was taken to Orange County jail.
