1 dead after fire ignites at Volusia County home

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - A man was found dead after a fire ignited a home in New Smyrna Beach overnight, according to Volusia County Fire Rescue.

The state fire marshal is investigating the fire, which sparked at a home in the 100 block of Howard Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Fire officials say when they arrived, half of the home was on fire with flames coming out of the roof and windows.

The body of 58-year-old Gregory Robinson was found inside of the home.
