Man found shot to death in Orlando neighborhood was wearing Ironman mask
Orange County Sheriff's detectives find 2 masks, gun at scene
Authorities on Tuesday said a man found shot to death in an Orlando neighborhood was wearing an Ironman mask and gloves.
Antonio Carrasquillo-Irizarry, 24, of Chicago, was found shot Monday night on Curry Ford Lane in the Village at Curry Ford Woods neighborhood near Pinar Elementary School.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a driver called 911 after discovering Carrasquillo-Irizarry lying in the road. The driver thought he had been struck by a vehicle, deputies said.
Investigators said Carrasquillo-Irizarry was suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Blood drops led detectives to a house, prompting a SWAT situation, but no one was inside when law enforcement officers entered, deputies said.
Deputies said they believe Carrasquillo-Irizarry was shot through the door of the residence. Two masks, including the Ironman mask, were found at the shooting scene. A gun was found nearby, too, according to a tweet from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
No other details were released.
