DELAND, Fla. -

Deland police said they are investigating what happened that led to a shooting at a Racetrac Gas Station Saturday.

Police said they were called to 2080 South Woodland Blvd. around 12:30 p.m. about someone being shot near the gas pumps.

Police said when they arrived, they found one man had been shot and the shooter had not left the scene.

Police said the victim was flown to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach after he was shot in the abdomen.

Police told Local 6 the shooting happened in front of children, who were in one of the cars.
