ORLANDO, Fla. -

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has, along with the U.S. Marshals and the Orlando Police Department, arrested 10 people in connection with a sex trafficking case involving a minor.

According to the Sheriff's Office, it was notified by another county that a runaway claimed she and another girl were abused in Orange County. The other girl was located due to an arrest on prostitution charges in south Florida.

Many of the girls involved, some as young as 15, ran away from home and came to Orlando because they thought it would be a fun place, but instead ended up turning to prostitution, officials said.

Based on the information provided by the girls, deputies arrested 10 people: Craig Golden, Martha Wilson, Lachristopher Smith, Leo David, Rodney David, Guytembert Garcin, Olgens Alcide, John Peter Henry, Shayne Parsons and Boby Louis.

The 10 suspects were charged with sex trafficking, procuring a minor for prostitution, deriving proceeds from prostitution, lewd and lascivious behavior with a minor and interference with child custody.

Officials said most of the men are convicted criminals with violent pasts, and one of the men is a registered sex offender.

Detective Anderson Ashby said he spent the past three months tracking down the men from Orlando to Miami, but a majority of the men live around Orange Blossom Trail and Americana Boulevard.

Investigators said the men were taking advantage of the teenagers and would make the girls would walk the trail, giving them drugs and then taking any money the girls made.

?They?re predators, looking for victims young and naïve,? Ashby said. ?The males range from 22 to 29 years old. These are guys with families and they took advantage of these kids.?

Deputies are still searching for Montavious Postell and Luc Louidor, but detectives said they believe as many as two dozen men could be involved with the sex trafficking.
