COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A 10 year-old girl was bitten by a shark Saturday afternoon while swimming in Cocoa Beach, according to Brevard County Ocean Rescue.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. at Lori Wilson Park.
The girl, who was wading in knee-deep water, was bitten on her right foot.
The girl was transported to Cape Canaveral Hospital.
