Karate Teacher Re-Arrested, Accused Of Molesting Another Girl

POSTED: Wednesday, October 4, 2006
UPDATED: 9:53 am EDT October 5, 2006

A 36-year-old karate teacher in Kissimmee, Fla., was re-arrested on suspicion he molested another student in his class, police told Local 6 News.

Investigators said Bradley R. Knight, the chief instructor and owner of the Tigers Den Karate-Do Academy located on East Carroll Street in Kissimmee was arrested in August and accused of having sex with a female student.

The girl making the accusations against Knight was a student in a summer class, the report said.

Knight was taken into custody again Wednesday after a girl under 12 years old told deputies that he revealed himself to her. The girl said he also inappropriately touched her.

"I can say that we are talking to at least one other victim at this time and there may be additional (victims)," Osceola County sheriff's spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain said.

Some adults have come forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Knight dating back 11 years ago at the academy, Local 6 News has learned. However, since the statute of limitations has run out, he cannot be charged with the alleged crimes.

"The victims who have come forward since the mid-August arrest, the incidences are very similar and we find the victims to be credible."

So far, all of the victims have been young women, the report said.

Investigators are still asking anyone with information about the cases involving Knight or any new possible cases to contact the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Knight was being held on no bond Wednesday night.
