Two popular radio personalities in Brevard County, Fla., told their audience that their mysterious suspension earlier this year involved the playing of a song called "Who Put the Stump in My Rump," according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.
At about 8:20 a.m. Thursday, Lisa Moldovan and Timmy Vee, hosts of the WA1A-FM mornning show discussed their September suspension.
The offense happened about this time last year when they played "Who Put the Stump in My Rump," a holiday novelty song, on the day before Thanksgiving.
Vee said a listener complained to the station, and instead of pulling the song from rotation, he and Moldovan asked their audience if they wanted to hear the song, which is sung from the point of view of an angel atop a tree.
Vee said WA1A's parent company, Cumulus Broadcasting, suspended the duo to prevent a possible Federal Communications Commission fine, Florida Today reported.
Moldovan and Vee followed up their announcement Thursday morning by taking supportive calls from listeners.
