Man Accused Of Molesting 8-Year-Old
POSTED: Tuesday, January 16, 2007
A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office investigation resulted in the Tuesday arrest of 54-year-old Richard William Mills Sr., who allegedly molested an 8-year-old girl in late 2006, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.
Mills, a Palm Shores resident, was charged with sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation, police said.
The sexual acts are believed to have occurred at his 2425 Madrid Drive residence in Palm Shores.
Mill was charged in 1980 in Maine for unlawful sex with a juvenile and again in 1986 for mailing sexually explicit photographs of children.
Mills might have photographed some of the sexual acts, police said. A computer and other compact discs were seized during the arrest. The victim reported that the Mills showed her images that he kept on his computer.
After a search of the resident, investigators believe there are three more children involved.
“There might be more victims,” said Lt. Tod Goodyear of the sheriff’s office.
