Man Charged After Boy Beaned In Face With Orange
39-Year-Old Charged With Child Abuse
Jeffery Eller was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of child abuse after Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on the 300 block of Robyn Street to investigate a disturbance, police reports show. Deputies reported that the child's mother said Eller, her boyfriend, picked up an orange and threw it at her son. Police report showed that the orange struck the boy in the face, prompting the woman to call authorities. Eller was handcuffed and taken to the Brevard County Jail Complex where a judge ordered him released under community supervision. He is expected to go to court on the charge on Feb. 1.
