The theft happened at Seasons in the Sun RV Park in Mimis, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

The purse contained about $20,000 in cash and $10,000 in jewels, deputies said.

The purse was recovered near the RV park on State Road 46, but the money and jewels were gone, deputies said.

Owners of the park have requested extra patrols, Florida Today reported.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
