A neighbor witnessed the crime, police said.

"The robbers took a chain, a watch and a cheap cellphone. The neighbor shooed the bad guys away and then took the students home,” Cocoa police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez told News 6 partner Florida Today.

The mother of one of the children called 911.

“They were upset. They had just recently moved here from Ohio,” Martinez said.
