A 19-year-old in Orange County, Fla., was charged Wednesday after bomb squad members located and detonated several pipe bombs inside his home, according to police.
Investigators said six devices were found inside a home located on North Wekivwa Springs Road in Apopka.
Officers said they had received an anonymous tip that there could be some suspicious devices on the property.
When the home was checked, the devices were found and detonated, the report said.
"We have heard four loud booms since we have been out here," Local 6's Jessica D'Onofrio reported at the scene.
Scott Davis was charged with possession and/or manufacturing of a destructive device.
It was not clear what the explosives were going to be used for, police said.
Neighbors were concerned about the discovery.
"If we were standing out here, not knowing what was going on and a bomb was detonated, anybody over here could have been hurt," neighbor David Dixon said.
There were no injuries in connection with the incident.
The Sheriff's office the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as the FBI are investigating.
