An alleged escort service considered to be one of Central Florida's largest sex-for-hire operations in recent memory is being targeted by the U.S. attorney's office.

Sources familiar with the case said nine women were arrested in the large MBI sting operation.

"When we talk about it (as) one of the largest escort operations, are we talking traffic or revenue?" Local 6's Mike Holfeld asked.

"Oh, definitely the revenue," MBI representative Cmdr. Paul Zambouros said. "That is the way we usually judge these escort service on how much money they are brining in. It is all about the money to them. It doesn't matter how many girls they have. It is how much money they are making."

The MBI can’t comment on the specifics of the case, Holfeld reported.

But Local 6 has learned the Girls Next Door advertisements made regular appearances in the Orlando Weekly and the Internet between 2002 and 2006.

Affidavits obtained by Local 6 revealed the Girls Next Door employees met at several expensive hotels offering so called "full service" – referring to sexual intercourse at $400 or more per visit, Holfeld reported.

One of the client's of the business includes a former NFL player, a source told Local 6 News.

The owners of Girls Next Door, Tiffany and Ethan Green, recently divorced, according to the report.

"Sources said the couple arranged the laisons from a home in Deltona, which has been seized by the government," Holfeld said.

Holfeld said sources believe Green is still operating an Internet escort service.

"It is common for escort operators to close down once they are detected under one name and open up under another business name," Zambouros said.

"A source with the U.S. attorney’s office could not confirm the NFL player connection," Holfeld said. "Local 6 has learned the player is no longer with the NFL and his father is a member of the football Hall of Fame."

In terms of money, it appears roughly $500,000 in cash and assets have been seized in the case, authorities said.
