Girl's Feet Cut Off On Six Flags Ride
Witness: 'She Was Just Sitting There And She Didn't Have Any Legs'

A 13-year-old girl's feet were cut off Thursday while on a ride at Six Flag's Kentucky Kingdom amusement park, according to officials.A representative for Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom said both of the girl's feet were detached at the ankle at the Superman Tower of Power attraction.According to the Kentucky Kingdom, the girl was injured when the ride malfunctioned but it was not clear at what point of the ride the incident happened."We saw the cable just snap," a witness said. "And as it was coming down, it snapped again and then the people on the ride came and just hit the ground. When I went up there, the lady she was just sitting there and she didn't have any legs. She didn't have any legs at all. She was just calm, probably in shock for everything."The ride lifts passengers 177 feet into the air and then drops 154 feet at 54 mph.The attraction has been closed indefinitely while park officials investigate.There was no word on the girl's condition Thursday night.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
