UCF Professor Charged With 138 Counts Of Child Pornography
Images Discovered On Man's Computer
A University of Central Florida professor was arrested Monday on 138 counts of possession of material depicting sexual performance by a child. Michael Reichert, a political science professor, was arrested at about 3 p.m., according to UCF police. According to a police report, Reichert took his computer in for service about a month ago because there was a problem with it. That is when the images were discovered on the computer's hard drive, police said. The report did not state who made the discovery. It is unknown whether the photos were taken by Reichert, according to the report. Reichert was transported to the Orange County Jail. He declined an interview request made by Local 6 News.
