Attorney: 'Captain America' Agrees To Apology, Bar Ban In Groping Case

Doctor Accused Of Groping Woman

A Melbourne physician, who was accused of groping a woman while dressed as Captain America at a Brevard County bar, will apologize to his alleged victim and never return to the bar in a bid to avoid trial, his attorney said on Wednesday.

Raymond Douglas Adamcik, 54, was charged with misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer without violence and marijuana possession in connection with the Apr. 21 incident at On Tap Bar and Grill in Melbourne.

Police said Adamcik was using vulgar language and brandishing a burrito when he groped the woman and knocked her boyfriend to the floor during a costume party at the bar.

Initially, he was also charged with felony destruction of evidence after authorities said he tried to flush a marijuana cigarette down the toilet while being booked for battery, but prosecutors reduced the charge to misdemeanor possession, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

Adamcik entered a pretrial diversion program this month that could result in the charges being dropped, court records show.
