Orlando police on Thursday were searching for a man who they said robbed a Wal-Mart at gunpoint while wearing a Halloween mask before fleeing in a car full of people.

According to Orlando police, an armed black man entered the Wal-Mart, located at 2500 S. Kirkman Road, at about 7:10 a.m., robbed the store and fled in a silver 2004 Chevrolet Impala with gray interior and tinted windows.

Police said there were five men in the vehicle.

A witness told Local 6 News that at least one customer was injured during the incident.

"He was standing in line and the perpetrator came up there with his gun, (robbed) the guy, told him not to move and cut the guy in the forehead," a witness said.

Multiple witnesses told police the man was wearing a Halloween mask.

"He had a white mask on (and) carried a machine gun up to his chest," a witness said. "It's just kind of scary."

"Some guy with a Freddy Krueger mask on, (a) Halloween mask," another witness said after being asked to describe the assailant.

"He was wearing like a Scarface mask," a third witness said.

A Wal-Mart employee told Local 6 News that they believe it was an inside job because the culprit took money from the drawer used to cash employee's checks.

"Today's the day Wal-Mart employees cash their checks, so someone had to know what's going on," an employee said.
