The death of an 8-year-old Orange County boy who was found unresponsive and not breathing inside an apartment on Saturday has been ruled a homicide, officials said on Tuesday. Lavarius Key was found by deputies at 4431 S. Texas Ave. Apt. No. 208 and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died later Saturday night, according to officials. Investigators have declined to release details surrounding the incident, but the medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide. An investigation into the death is ongoing, Orange County sheriff's officials said. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
