Police said a Mitsubishi Eclipse and an Oldsmobile sedan were racing on Colonial Drive in Orange County near Good Holmes Road at about 3 a.m. when the Oldsmobile slammed into a Penske rental truck heading in the opposite direction.

The collision split the Oldsmobile in half.

"It actually split the Oldsmobile in two pieces, ejecting one person," Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Kim Miller said. "The back two occupants, two Hispanic males, were killed on the scene."

Joshua and David Hill were driving in the Penske truck returning to Central Florida after a three-day trip from Portland before they were hit by the Oldsmobile.

"A car swerved and pulled right in front of us and there was no time to do anything," Joshua Hill said.

"One mistake at these speeds can cost you your life," Miller said.

Joshua and David Hill were not seriously injured in the crash.

Police are searching for the Mitsubishi involved in the crash. Officers said the driver's side door has racing stickers that read "ing" or "inge."

Witnesses told police that the car was being driven by a Hispanic man with short hair.

The driver of the missing Mitsubishi car will face vehicular homicide charges, troopers said.
