Police: Man Videotaped Women, Self In Homes, Left Urine, Bodily Fluids
Investigators said Thomas Blacine has been preying on unsuspecting women in New Smyrna Beach and is responsible for some of the most disgusting crimes reported in the city.Police said Blacine recently broke into a house on the 800 block of East 24th Street in New Smyrna Beach, urinated into a milk jug and then left other bodily fluids throughout the house."He is definitely an individual who is ill," New Smyrna Beach police Detective Lisa Gundrum said.Blacine was arrested when a police dog tracked his scent to a sport utility vehicle parked near the 700 block of East Second Street after a woman said she was fondled by the 50-year-old while she slept.Detectives said Blacine not only filmed women but also himself breaking into houses."A search after the arrest inside the vehicle revealed a camcorder with some videotapes and on the videotapes there was other evidence obtained about burglaries that also occurred in the city where he was videotaping himself inside the house.""It makes you wonder, do you have to have more lights on?" neighbor Connie Winchell said. "Is a person going to be behind a bush some place?"Police said there could be more victims in Central Florida.Anyone with information about Blacine is urged to call Crimeline 800-423-TIPS.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
